Hotel accommodation has been booked for your team from the night of Monday 21st until Wednesday 23rd May incl. breakfast on April 23rd.

The cost of any incidental items (e.g. telephone calls, additional drinks etc.) will be at your own expense. We recommend that you do not use telephones provided in hotel rooms (except in an emergency) as charges for these are generally high. We also ask that you do not change anything in your hotel room during your stay, and that you make sure that you settle any bills incurred (excluding room rate & designated meals) when you check out.

All meals (from May 21st –Monday lunch until May 23rd –Wednesday breakfast will be provided.
VENUE
The Stage Presentations and the Final Awards ceremony will take place at the official EU building of the European Economic and Social Committee. It is situated on rue Van Maerlant 2, Brussels which is 8 minutes walking distance from the Thon Hotel EU. JA-YE Europe staff will lead you to the EESC building.

Information for chaperones/teachers:
there will be NO special programme for teachers/chaperons (such as trainings or workshops) during the competition. As observers you are invited to join the students during both days of competition.
ALCOHOL POLICY·

Absolutely no abuse of alcohol or drugs will be tolerated.

In the event of unacceptable behavior, the offending participants will be sent home immediately at their own costs.
INSURANCE

Each country is responsible for ensuring that its JA-YE participants are fully insured (travel and medical insurance) for their participation in the Innovation Camp 2012.
DRESS / WEATHER

The weather can sometimes be rainy and around 12-15°C! So be prepared and bring with some warm clothes with you!

The dress code for Tuesday (May 22nd) is casual, on Wednesday during the team presentation and the Final Awards Ceremony at the European Economic and Social Committee we recommend formal business attire.

INSTRUCTION FOR VAN MAERLANT BUILDING
The Stage Presentations and the Final Awards ceremony on May 23rd will take place at the official EU building of the European Economic and Social Committee. It is situated on rue Van Maerlant 2, Brussels which is 8 minutes walking distance from the Thon Hotel EU. JA-YE Europe staff will lead you to the EESC building.
Registration at the Van Maerlant Building: 09:00 -09:30
Before entering the building you have to go through the registration and security check. For registration purposes:

Please be aware that you will need to go through a security check control.

Please make sure you have your passport or identity card with you (with the same number that you provided to JA-YE Europe during the registration process).

You will be given a special visitor badge (different from JA-YE Europe Innovation Camp badges). You must wear the badge visibly during the whole visit at the Van Maerlant Building.
Rules for visit to the Van Maerlant Building

You are not allowed to walk freely around the Van Maerlant Building.

You are not allowed to disturb meetings or enter any meeting room other than the VM3 room, provided for our event.

You may not take dangerous objects such as knives etc. with you.
JA-YE Europe staff will be at your disposal at the security check point to assist if necessary and lead you to room VM3 where the event will take place.
